There are multiple ways to get to the lodge from abroad. To get to Minga Lodge from an international flight, you can fly into Guayaquil’s José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport or Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport Ecuador. There are daily flights into both of these major cities in Ecuador.
Here are some of the international airlines that service both airports:
Take a 35 minute morning flight to Coca. Airlines that service this city include Aerogal and LATAM.
Option 1: You can fly directly to Coca from Seymour Galapagos Ecological Airport, serving the island of Baltra and connecting to Santa Cruz via water taxi and bus.
Option 2: San Cristobal Airport located on the island of San Cristobal. There are sometimes also connecting flights from these airports through Guayaquil to Coca.
There are daily direct flights to Coca from Guayaquil with Aerogal and LATAM.
Once you land at Coca airport, you will be met for a five-minute road transfer with your bags to Coca port for your motorized canoe transfer upriver to Minga Lodge. The canoe ride is about two hours and is the beginning of your Amazon adventure!
